Our Initial Practice Schedule
Short version: starting May 27, join us Tuesdays at 9am Pacific at this Zoom link!
Hi everyone —
Thank you for your interest in Tech Community Zen’s practice schedule. Thus far, N=39 folks have shared their preferred practice times, and I’ve chosen an initial time:
Starting May 27: Tuesdays at 9:00am Pacific (12pm Eastern; 6pm CEST)
On May 27, we’ll begin with a general orientation, followed by the standard practice format that we’ll use going forward. We’ll end by 9:55am Pacific.
If you join for the first time after May 27, attend an orientation 30 minutes earlier (8:30am Pacific; 11:30am Eastern; and so forth).
Time doesn’t work? Tentatively, I hope to add a second time at 10am in a few weeks, after seeing how the initial sessions go. You can always find the complete calendar, including Google Calendar entries, at: https://www.tczen.org/schedule
Here’s what you need for online practice:
A device with Zoom; and preferably a video camera to show yourself live
A comfortable mat or chair to sit still. (More details are here.)
And:

If you ever misplace the link, visit tczen.org and check the Schedule page. Or if Zoom ever asks for a password, it is 108108 (“108” is a classic number in Zen).
If you have other questions, check out the FAQ at tczen.org/faq, or send email to [email protected], or bring your questions to the meeting.
With best wishes, and looking forward to seeing you soon! 🙏

P.S. We’re a tech group, so … if you’re curious how I used data analytics to choose the Tuesday 9am time, I discussed that in the latest post at the quant UX blog.
The good news is that this time was popular for many folks in several locations: US & Canada West to join in the morning; US & Americas East at lunch time; and Europe in the early evening. Cheers!
